Found this well fed girl on my garage door. Looks to be an orb weaver....not sure which specifically.

I am guessing that is a four spot orb weaver, i could be wrong, so wait and see what other more experienced poster think.

People often take this spider as a sign of "Good Luck" due to it's nickname being the "Cross Spider".. Congrats on the neat Orbweaver!

To me it looks very similar to this http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Araneus_quadratus but if I'm wrong then I apologise. I'm a noob when it comes to spiders and still have lots to learn.
