the coolest stuff i have seen in the wild doesn't compare to the snake pics... but i have seen an immature hesperus eating an almost 3"/7.5cm long er, brown roach around me. maybe Periplaneta americana. the roach had to outmass the spider by at least 20-30:1

also, black widows are the only pet i have ever had that can eat these "rockbugs" (mebbe blue death feigning beetles or ironclads). even my big mature female Sphrodomantis couldn't do for them.... the hesperus figured out how to kiss a FREAKIN ANTENNA JOINT and then food wrapped and drank it. it was so awesome... after kick-wrapping it she real methodically tried biting it all over till she got the connection she wanted in the antenna

haha, yeah they are truly amazing! it's so fun feeding Latrodectus and being amazed at what they can take down ;P will eat pretty much ANYTHING if hungry...:D
