Would like to see a list of what old world Fossorials get to that size. I think I know a few of them but maybe there are more I can look up. I own some that will be big.

I prefer the Asians I would probably get a P lugardi at some point although that wouldn't be for size obviously. Yeah I'd prefer to see them now and then like I do with my Chilobrachys. I keep Psalmopeus new world wise. I don't like urticating hairs, I only keep cambridgei and reduncus. I think my S crassipes are probably around the biggest I'm gonna get, I've heard they can hit 8"

What size do C Lividum get, about 6"?

My phormics and pamphos never kick hairs, they just stand their ground. They are quick, phormics especially so. They are great display T's and just about every one gets massive. Just a suggestion, but nothing wrong with OW. Lugardi's are cool T's.

I swear you've asked this before but all I could find was largest Chilobrachys, largest NW where the females exceed 7", largest Asian species, largest arboreals, Sericopelma, I didn't go back the whole way but it seems like if your questions werent so specific/narrow youd already have the answer for this. Not faulting you for it, just pointing it out 🤣

Hysterocrates are certainly the most notable large obligate fossorials, that come to mind. I think Poecilotheria ornata and P. rufilata, or P. regalis are probably the biggest OW overall though if I am not mistaken.

Yeah plus with proper gear you can avoid the hairs . I need some more big species.

these questions mirror my ancient posts about giant Ts . And the rumors were untrue none of my Ts ever got past 8”.

Cyriopagopus schmidti adult females can easily reach 7in. Even mature males can be real beasts. They're also beautiful spiders, though reclusive.

My P. muticus is now as big as my H. gigas, but she is still gaining size with each molt. She has the sort of impressive massiveness that I’ve only really seen with Pamphos.

Wow 🤯 how large ? Do you need a bigger cage for such large fossorials?one of my smaller lp is digging a bit but it’s in a 10gal.

I have her in a custom tank, it is 15” deep. Turning a 10 gal on its side and filling it most of the way with substrate would work.
