She sounds like she'll make a great pet. As far as bathing...if she's not having skin problems and doesn't smell sour or really bad other than just "dog smell" then I'd go with every two weeks or less and with a non drying or soap free shampoo like oatmeal based or something. Since many people now have dogs as their kids or as family there are many choices out there as far as just regular bathing shampoo goes lol. There's a vet recommended shampoo called universal shampoo or HyLyt that she could order if she wished. I have never seen a reaction to chlorhexidene in diluted form but if so perhaps a dilute iodine solution (not near the eyes though). If she has droopy eyes I'd recommend getting some artificial tears it's a non medicated eye lube used to keep from getting soap in their eyes or just to help moisten them. If she can't find it she can just rinse the eyes after bathing with normal eye wash or saline drops. I don't know a whole lot about raw diets or homemade diets but I've heard people rave about them. Too much trouble to me. There's plenty of info to be found online about canine foods. All she'd need to do is get on dog food advisor.com and read up a little. If she makes a homemade diet she may need to get some vitamins to add or something. I don't have experience with that.

I wouldn't worry too much about arthritis at this point. She can use a good supplement like a fish oil capsule on the food once or twice a day...it can go a long way to prevent skin and bone/joint issues as well as chondroitin sulfate, etc. If the dog is in pain she'll limp or lay around, be unwilling to play much, etc. Just let her be a dog and enjoy herself.
