God I really want a Phormictopus sp. purple. I love that orange and purple shift. Reminds me of a sunset.

Little geniculata, hopefully this one is female..

How did I end up with a picky Phormictopus? She refuses to eat roaches. This is a far too common scene:

New family member. G. pulchripes female (5"). Free from someone who couldn't take her to a new apt!

And here is our tiny, extremely slow growing mystery T. After taking this pic, I noticed the orangey spinerets. Could this be an A. Seemanni??

Borneo black. They are over 3" now, possibly up to 4" (tricky to measure exactly). Time to rehouse again

New addition! Always wanted a Xenesthis, and intermedia was always my favorite based on pics I'd seen. My "someday" spider. And then suddenly I got the opportunity to get a female for a good price, so I had to jump on it. Thanks @sdsnybny !

UGH I'm so jealous. X. intermedia is so high on my wish list right now. All I can find are immanis and sp. blue though.

Edit: Also, how big is your male G. iheringi? I've got a female and maybe if the timing lines up our babies can get together and make some babies of their own. I -love- this species, definitely my favorite Grammostola I've worked with.

Yeah, iheringi are great. My guy is maybe 4"? 4.5"? I hear they mature pretty big, so I would guess he's still several molts away. But yeah, I'll definitely want to try to breed him. iheringi needs to be more available.

Ahhh, he looked smaller from the pictures. It might not work then, she's about the same size so he'll probably beat her in the puberty race. Worth a shot!

I totally agree though, I think every hobbyist needs one!
