Well hello everybody so I am new to this site was mainly looking for more information on how to keep this little guy.
I found this little guy walking on my front garden and was very sure it was a trapdoor.

i have always had a huge fascination with insects from a young age I am now getting back into collecting after many years of nothing. This is my first setup in 10 years

Firstly, this is indeed a trapdoor but i am uncertain of the species.

Secondly, i can tell by his pedipalps (and that you found him out and about) that this fellow is a mature male. This means he may only live a few more weeks (MM's die shortly after maturing), so the best option is actually to release him and give him the chance to breed, since he'll likely refuse any food offered. This way, you may also find some wandering trapdoor slings in the future sometime and end up with a female ;) the setup is a bit too wet but otherwise okay, a female would happily live many years in there

Thanks man I do find him very small for an adult he’s only as big as my thumb nail and I don’t see spurs on him ... it had been very dry and we got some heavy rain and I found him .. but if it’s a male then definitely I will release him.. and thanks for pointing out that the enclosure was to wet 👍.. thanks for the read and information
