About 3 days ago I was removing a female L.mucronatus that had babies on her back to a seperate box and I saw one of the newborn scorplings on the back of different female.

In order to see if this is indeed the case and other females can "baby-sit" other scorplings I removed 2 scorplings from the mothers back and placed them on another one. Both of them were accepted without any problems and they are there till now.

Not sure if this is common, but just though to share it with you.

I saw someone mention it on AB before. In that case I believe the litter was so large that there was not enough room and other females helped with the extras. The idea of scorpions having a communal relationship that includes helping in the rearing of each others children is very interesting.

You planning on leaving the youngers on the nursemaids a while?
