NY Tarantula Source

A friend of mine in NYC is considering getting her first tarantula, can anyone recommend a local petstore or breeder who will set her up with a healthy pet-type tarantula?

Unfortunately, your friend won't be able to find any T's or other venemous anythings within the city limits. There's a law prohibiting their sale within NYC limits. Depending on how much of a rush she is in, she should probably wait until April if she can and go to the NY Metro Reptile Expo in White Plains. The one petstore out by me on the island is probably more than your friend would want to spend, while the expo has a great selection and great prices.
