I have a female smithi that just molted about a week and a half ago..normally she eats like a horse but hasnt been. I was just wondering if maybe it had to do with the mature male i have..the cage isnt right smack beside hers but its a few feet away. would he be distracting her from eating for the moment?

She may not be ready to take prey yet, that's all. Sometimes they wait for a while..

lol ok..I wanna attempt breeding her just to see if I can do it..and i dont want the male to go to waste and Ive never shipped one before..so...I dunno..I wanted her to be big n fat before putting the male in . I dont want him to become a snack. I'll just wait longer :)

Try giving her one or two superworms, she will eat it about half a day and she won't be hungry for a long time after that kind of meal.
