I think it's great you handle your P. irminia. I think Psalmopeous get a bad rap because they are so fast. I handled both of mine, and once you get used to how fast and likely they are to run away from you, you realize they aren't the devils they get made out to be because of a few phylogenic similarities to that "other" genus..

Yours is about the same size as mine, and I've had mine over a year now.. When I first got it, I named it Beezlebub, but I've since been looking for a new name.

I got one that was 1.25" about 3 months ago. It now is around 3" after 2 or 3 molts. Looking great now. You will really start to notice the contrast between colors when it gets a little more size.

What is the harm? Everyone's dog and cat have names, what is the difference? I personally think Ts are difficult to name anyway.

Why not? People give names to cats, dogs, horses, guinea pigs, even cars and boats.

I think it looks like an Ezekiel - or "Zeke" for short. :D

nice spider! Mine is still pretty small, and I'm going to have to rehouse him/her shortly...so I'll let you know how the handling session goes :)
