Ps it helps a lot that my current spider is so chill and super NOT aggressive about everything so far too.
That's how I won my bf over with my wolf spider lol. He originally said no wolf spiders, but then I caught a male Tigrosa Annexa wolf spider that was missing a leg and shortly after a female. They were super chill spiders and couldn't climb, so he gave in. I since lost my male, though, but they don't live long after reaching maturity.

Yeah, it stank losing him, but it's nature. He was a super chill spider. I used to get spooked by wolf spiders, but now that I've had some as pets, they're among my favorite spiders. Well, along with my jumping spiders, crab spiders, and various others. lol

My boyfriend doesn't want anything other than a Goliath bird eater or jumping spiders in the house. The rest I catch to keep have to remain outside. I still sneak my current one inside to sleep next to me on my night stand at night. Rescued what looks like a hacklemesh weaver for my ver firdt spider from our bathroom before someone in the house discovered and smashed it. They know I have it and I'm just not allowed to get caught with it in the house.

I'm an adult and online stripper honestly, so I'll he using my own money to buy a jumpong spider after I get some experience on in heneral care with the wild ones I find at home. Once I'm more confident in my ability to care for them I'm gonna actively get a jumper probably online. Never bought something online like this before though and every online store I've peeked at the last two days are completely outta stock on pretty fuzzy jumping spiders.

Next week when I get paid I'm gonna buy a fancy little enclosure with a side wall like door for my (I think this is right) hacklemesh weaver.
If I was to guess, I'd say he mentioned the Theraphosa blondi (goliath bird eater) because he thinks you'd be intimidated. I'd get the T. blondi AND jumping spiders just because 😂
But honestly having a large T around may make him warm up to having others. 🤷‍♂️
