If you know your tarantulas good I shouldn't have to use the Latin name bro.

It has nothing to do with what you know. In the hobby, there are several common names that have been used for multiple species of tarantulas. So common names are not the best thing to use when asking for help. Yes, if you say GBB then we know it means C.cyaneopubescens but for other common names it can cause confusion. In the end it's easier just to say C.cyaneopubescens IMO.

If you know your Ts you then should know their Latin names. They only have one of those at any given time. If you use Latin names everyone will easily know which species of tarantula you are talking about.

Hysterocrates gigas
Theraphosa stimi (I think... not sure what a birdwater is)
Pelinobius muticus

Look, I'm not downing anyone for using common names. It's just easier to know what you're talking about when you use the Latin names. It also avoids confusion.

Just for the pleasure of talking and for state facts, remember always man that in case of a female (0.1) specimen that common name is invalid

Goddess 0.1 Pelinobius muticus PBUH -- Peace Be Upon Her

is the only legit Title, even if a lot of people use 'Queen', uhm.

Really? So, if i tell you I have a mexicaanse roodknie, you know what species I am talking about? Because that is the common name for this species in MY country.

If you want to be taken seriously, better start using scientific names. Common names are made up by petstores to impress new customers.
