It seems whip-scorpions are a harder pet to keep. What would you suggest for such a large tank that would be easy and relatively cheap.
It's not that they're hard pets to keep, they just require a bit of knowledge and understanding to get started. Many of them are wild caught, and some of the most pervasive are the most difficult to keep.

I'd say Euphrynicus Bacilifer or Phrynus Whitei would be your best bet. As @Albireo Wulfbooper mentioned, Whip Spiders labeled " tanzanian whipscorpion" are often the species Damon Medius, which require a bit more care than your average whip.

Phrynus Whitei require a humid environment but are pretty resistant to intense changes. They are also a bit more docile (in my experience) whereas my Medius is super skittish, but this can be attributed to wild caught.

If you want a Whip Spider, which I recommend, I think a captive bred Whitei would be great.

Agree with all of this. Phrynus whitei is a great starter animal: quite hardy, readily available in the US as captive-bred specimens, reasonably large as adults, and tend to be pretty chill.

Generally speaking a tank of that size is extremely large for most invertebrates. It's not that the space is harmful but rather it makes feeding very difficult and it can get lost in there.

If you're looking for a more unique pet that can be handled I'd recommend a reptile for that large tank. If you're interested in an Amblypygi or other invertbrate you'd be best off to acquire a much smaller terrarium.
