New sling trying to escape

I picked up a 1" king baboon sling yesturday. She is housed in a tall plastic jar with about 4" of slightly damp coco coir substrate. I started her a burrow and she spends the day in it but at night she goes to a vent hole and sticks as many leg out as she can. No worries about her getting out but I wonder why she wants out so bad? could it be the damp substrate?

Yeah as soon as your substrate drys a bit he should go down. My E.papyus did that for 3 or 4 days then substrate was ok and she went down.

yep they like it a little dryer.
