Do you have a hole punch? Just cut some card stock, (like old business cards) or punch them if you have a hole punch, and then tape them over those holes.

I've unfortunately already acquired the 5.5oz's, so those are going to go to use. Downsizing is probably the better option since it's a bit hard to track inside and I have no idea how later feeding sessions will be held. Thanks for your help nonetheless, it has been of much aid!

Bit paranoid about the tape covering the bigger holes created to prop up foilage. It's not very easy to walk onto, but it is still a concern on the off chance it were to wander and insert its feet into the hole and onto the tape. Any experience regarding such?

If you want a really easy fix, ball up a bit of tissue paper/toilet paper (non scented) and use to plug the hole, then tape over to hold in place. Did that myself for my C versi enclosure where about 6 vent holes were too big. They were there for months until I removed them after it grew big enough to no longer be able to fit through the gap.

Yeah, I'll try that out! I mostly put the tape there to hold the foilage in place though, so I'm gonna have to work around and see if I can finnesse it to stay in place. Thanks for the help!

I agree with the concern about exposing the tarantula to the adhesive side. You could try using plastic wrap over the holes and taping that in place.

Aren't Avics (and most aboreals) typically more nocturnal/light responsive anyways? Might just be since it's so early in the day too.

My adult c. versicolor doesnt react to light at all, but my t. albopilosus instantly runs away

Nope, I left a little bit of the lid on the bottom portion to which provides a mini wall and creates a well for the dirt. It's fully detachable without incident.

Update: Took the tape off, ya'll think it'll fit through? It's where the branch is sticking out of the hole, from closer inspection I don't think it can get through this.

Glad you sorted it! Just thought I'd say don't forget to tape over the paper plug! Although technically a tarantula can tear up paper towel with their fangs, I myself found they don't tend to bother with those plugs. However, as the risk is there it's still best to tape over.
