New pokie breeding tanks

I turned a few 55g tanks I had from some old saltwater tanks I had lying around into some nice pokie breeding tanks. Out of one 55g tank I can get 6 tanks or three breeding tanks. I was looking at one of my old 55g tanks and got this idea:

I made it so you could house a female and male next to each other and open them both up for pairing.

There is almost no disturbance. Lift the slide and the male can go between his and her tank without interruption. Others might use these kind of setups but I haven't seen them so I'd thought I'd post mine. Also a neat way to make use of some old fish tanks.

My 55g tank has fish in it:wall: I'll be looking at them a little differently after seeing what I COULD be doing with their house! Hmm, eating fish is supposed to be good for your heart . . .

I made the whole fish tank into 6 tanks. Each pair of tanks can be opened in the middle to allow the male an opening back and forth.

Well I finally have the finishing touches done. I added some exoterra background to most of the tanks and got the rest of the cages built. First two tanks have my P. perdensi pair. They have been together for a week and I have seen them pair up more than enough to ensure a sac. Male goes back and forth but spends most of his time on here side.

Pic doesn't do this view justice. The male and female are on opposite side drumming through the log at each other.

Yea I was thinking the same thing. My friends are always cracking jokes. Funny thing is that particular plant cost more than the others of the same size.:?

Wow!

Those tanks are stunning! I've always thought 55g seemed a funny size tank, tall, long, but narrow - just seems silly for fish (which is why I have a 75g so its more proportional). But set up like this a 55g seems like a perfect tank size for T's! Good luck with the breeding plans!
