Clarus is typically more red/orange colored, they do look quite similar though. On looking at various pictures though, I honestly cannot say for certain if this is purpuratus or clarus. Clarus seems to more often have orange color though.
It looked like a purpuratus to me but I have no clue. But thanks so much for your help

Sorry to ask so many NOOB jumping spider questions but I found this one today. Male or female? I know it's a jumping spider but what kind? My app says it's a Phidippus Putnami but idk if that's correct or not. Thanks.
Habronattus sp.
can’t tell if it’s a male of female.

Last jumping spider question. I promise. This makes my 5th jumping spider so that is enough for me. I'm a start calling them pool spiders since that's where me and my daughter keep finding them. Anyway, I used my insect app and this is what it told me(pic is added). This spider is super jumpy and fast. Took a pic without flash(dark spider pic) and with flash.

So, male or female?
Species?

Thanks again

Female Habronattus, probably Habronattus coecatus.
I’m thinking adult
