maybe even a little more ventilation. soil works. no fertilizers obviously. fake plants work just as well as live plants and are less trouble.

alright i got a small fake plant that should work then and the plastic is a really bad material for drilling it tends to crack if to much pressure is applied but defiantly noted! Its an first attempt for me in all with building housing for my T.

You don't want a small fake plant, you want the plants to surround the top of the wood you provide....this gives the t both cover and anchor points for webbing.

I'd put more ventilation in there and i would use the coco soil. I've noticed that moss will mildew at some point even with little water and a lot of ventilation.

Its hard to tell how wide that bamboo piece is. I think the set up looks adequate, but it could use a thicker plant and a bigger, wider piece of wood. If you keep it like this, I would put the wood directly though the middle of the plant. If you have another piece of the bamboo, it wouldn't hurt. This will hold things in place better, cause they tend to move plants around as they web.

An improved set up shouldn't even make you think "stress" for one second, you should think the opposite actually. The better the set up, the more content the t will be and quicker it will acclimate. I think the word "stress" is often thrown around way to liberally sometimes.

Why would you need to handle it?
To put in the new housing, I have a large pop sick stick i try to get her to walk on to move her and sometimes she gets frisky and starts walking on me. Also I like the excitement of over coming my fear of spiders its helped me alot and i know handling is one of those iffy subjects on here
