Hello!

I have a new ~1/4 inch H. Pulchripes sling :) I’ve researched the husbandry but this is my first true sling and my first of this species! I’m wondering if anyone has any care tips or advice.

thanks!!

If you had done this you wouldn't be asking. By the looks of the photo you haven't done much research this is a fossorial species needs deeper substrate they will burrow and web up even as tiny slings.
This is the deli cup I just bought it in, not it’s enclosure. I thought this forum was for things like this, I was asking people who have the species to engage with me about the new species I’m excited about because experience always trumps research in my opinion - why are you commenting to be rude

I also have a HP sling now about 2-3cm. Its just moulted this weekend actually. It seems very happy in a 10x10x10cm enclosure atm. It has webbed up 3 entrances with a main funnel tube at the top. The enclosure has a few long pieces of cork bark up from the middle and has pretty much buried it all in webs and substrate. It has a water bowl that I 3d printed to fit the corners of the enclosure. I feed it small crickets and once it took one slightly larger than it. It is a voracious eater. I have had absolutely no trouble from it so far. Hope that helps.

It’s very premolt by the looks of it, I’d let it molt and harden in there before moving it so you don’t damage the new exoskeleton. Should be a few days tops before it molts.
