You have the COMPLETELY WRONG setup for that animal. If you keep it like that, it will DIE, it will be known as the Brazilian SPLAT.

Research what is needed for a terrestrial T here on AB. There are millions of posts just like yours.

Great species! I used to have one.
Like I said yesterday, this is the only enclosure I have right now, I know it’s not the right one for it. It’s needs to be more long than it is tall. The person that owned the T before me was using this and it was much worse than it is now. He stays on the ground for right now and I’m watching him closely. I don’t have money for a new enclosure at the moment.

I will
Pick up a new enclosure.
when I get money. Watching it closely to make sure he doesn’t try and climb and fall.

Could just put more substrate in so he can't fall as far?
Yup I will do that, I thought I had enough made to fill it up higher but I guess it miscalculated. I will set more now and let it dry and fill it up until I can get a shorter enclosure. This ain’t the first post I made about the T. It’s definitely better than before.

Tupperware box is as cheap as dirt. Does not look as fancy as a glass enclosure, but that comes down to what you prefer: looks or T safety..

Definitely improved. Is that a rock? I would just remove that and put a water dish i there instead

Id bury that hide on an angle so it's not open from both sides too. I prefer cork bark

Yes but you have to sleep, being out etc so you can't watch closely your spider 24/7. Brandon, as @DomGom TheFather said, go to your nearby 'Dollah Store' or just watch around in your property for a properly sized, plastic box. You don't need fancy, elaborated acrylic or 'Exo' stuff.
A lot of people house T's basically inside an helluva of everyday stuff boxes, especially in the U.S.

I’ve tried this, but I live with somebody that has a hatred for arachnids and they don’t like that idea because of the no locking top, hell, that was my first idea. My situation is more complicated than what people are making it to be lmao.

Best bet if you don’t have the money is find a container you already own that is lower profile and can be repurposed to house the T. Doesn’t have to be pretty as mentioned above, but at least it’s chances of survival will be exponentially better. A fall from a couple inches could be a death sentence.

My Grammostola decided it wanted to be arboreal and climbed upside down on the lid and fell 2” onto its wood hide. Even though that specific area was well within the acceptable height to leg ratio that could have been the end. Story being, they do what they want and expect the unexpected.

I second @cold blood. There’s no need to get a new and or different enclosure, just add more substrate to this top opening enclosure, Top soil or peat moss is very cheap.fill it 60-75% full. Problem solved.

That enclosure is much larger than necessary.
You don't need a foot of substrate but if you are going to use it, fill er up and do something about that screen lid.

This was my plan. I already had it figured out. I know it’s too large, it’s been mentioned many times, the enclosures not even mine once I get a new one I’m giving this one back to the previous owner. I bought the T with the enclosure that way I could at least make it a bit better while I find it a new enclosure. What I planned to do in the mean time is fill up the talk enclosure with some cheap coco fiber so it doesn’t fall and die. That being said I’ve heard all the tips about the small Tupperware and I had to ex that idea out because somebody in my household doesn’t feel comfortable with it for whatever reason. So I told them I would respect that and find it something suitable that they’re fine with. Yes, Tupperware/tubs were my first idea with them being so cheap. I’m not in a tough spot with the T but with finding a new enclosure if you get what I mean. I definitely don’t want to keep the T in this enclosure but it will have to do for now.
