To each their own.... We all spend money on things that others think is ridiculous. Good example is coffee, how many here spend $5 a day on a latte or something like that? No need to knock somebody else's purchases just because it doesn't fit your spending model.

Yeah, it's a lot of money. BUT I'm thinking it's like a college textbook. Since I've only been keeping Ts for a year this month, I think I'll save up $ each month and get this puppy.

Who the hell "knocked" the purchase? Way to read into things. I think most everyone who posted would buy it if it was more affordable. I want it, but due to the price, it slips way down the priority list. You had a good point until you decided to add that one last sentence for whatever reason you decided on. It was way off base Sir.

It's not a puppy. It's a book.

Also, found it online for free. Took about 10 minutes of searching. Not as nice as the real thing, but hey, it's the information I'm after. I'll very likely end up buying it when it drops in price eventually.

You found the whole thing online for free ? A lot of work went into this book, the author deserves to get paid in my opinion. And how sure are you that the price will drop? Some of Andrew Smiths older out of print books sell for up to $500 a piece these days.

Later, Tom

This is another great book if you can find it. Think it was only about 50 bucks. It's less technical and more hobby oriented.

Agreed, the author deserves to get paid, but there is no reason for a book to cost that much beyond greed. The mark-up is ridiculous on this. Not the author's fault, I understand. It's the same story with textbooks costing more than a dollar per page.

I knew I should've written "sucker".
Mr. Picky. ;) And I get pound dogs, and at my age they drop the price here. :D

A latte is a coffee drink made with espresso and steamed milk. The term as used in English is a shortened form of the Italian caffè latte, caffelatte or caffellatte, which means "milk coffee".

Eh eh, I imagined that :troll:
just that $5 is a lot of cash... for less here I can have a cappuccino and two brioches straight at the bar

We have this place called Starbucks that has wildly over priced coffee. The funny part is how little coffee is actually in there.
