Opened up an eggsac earlier tonight and this is what I found. :D

Looks to be around 50 or 60 little Puerto Rican Pinktoes (Avic. laetas) Greg

Congrats! Its hard to tell from the picture, but I was wondering how big are those guys and how the heck do you feed them? Also how long can they stay together like that before u have to start giving them their own vials?

They are pretty small, this picture will help you see. For feeding I will use pinhead crickets and fruit flies, kept them with Mom a little longer then normal about 36 days, so was nice to see they where already first instar and past the eggs with legs stage. As for how long before I separate them, probably a molt maybe two? just go with the flow and see when it seems like a good time. Greg

Here is a Pic of mom for those of you that don't know what a laeta looks like, she seems to be stress free since taking her sac which is good. Greg

Oh and by the way she is very docile, I just have her on the lid for contrast reasons as she shows up better on white background

Best count I can get on them is 70, kind of hard countin the little critters as they are very mobile, also may still be a few in the sac. Greg

Well as the little guys are all starting to molt I thought I would do an update and add a couple of pics. They are starting to get there baby blue and if I did not know they where laetas I would think they were versicolors. Greg
