Thanks yall!

Paul.. I'm not much for handling my Ts, but it would be nice if my irminia grew up to not want to eat my face off like a lot of the irminias I hear about! lol That's what my OBTs are for! :p

Brertt - that would be awesome! :)
My one just webs up and I never see it.....unless I handle it {D
You will be fine with yours.......especially if it is a female as I guess it is.
You will then see the true colours of an irminia.
This is what I am guessing your one will look like....I won't show the handling pics mind
Beautiful spid (s) you have Teal

Wow, looks like everybody had fun this weekend!!!! Congrats, Jairi!!!

P. irminia and C. fasciatum have been two of my favorite species to keep. Gorgeous colors, low maintenance (as if T's aren't easy enough), a little attitude, and a whole lot of fun. C. fasciatum also makes a killer display specimen. And a jar full of Avics......I'm with Tommy: I hate you too, LOL!!!!! ;P

Don't let Old Man Fleming scare you on the P. irminia. Mine is calm as can be for a Psalmo (considering the OTHER Psalmo of mine :p ). Freehandling is becoming a bit more difficult as he is growing, but still easily manageable. Although working with him is as easy as ever. He's frequently out, but just visible enough to see....until you go near the enclosure, and *POOF* gone in a cloud of coco-fiber (hence the name "Dusty," lol). Occasionally, he will become.....I guess you could say "curious," and come running to greet you. Over the weekend, I did manage to get a good, clear video of him doing just that......and will probably post it up later this week.

Noooo
I did say anything to scare....I just said they were over rated for their hostility and were sweeties to handle
To prove a point.....as I must

Nice pickups, and all for under $50! I went to the meeting too. Picked up a rufilata from a member and a Hottentotta hottentotta from Ken the Bug Guy. I'm super stoked about the scorpion. It's cute as can be, and to top it off it's parthenogenic.

Thanks mate.
I always say that this or that is my fav......but the truth is.....everyone of them has different qualities that never cease to amaze me and I love them all.
That is why we are all here after all.....because we love spids:):)

I am SO darn jealous you got a rufilata! That is the only darn pokie I want lol and I can't find an affordable one :(

Thanks everyone!

And don't worry Steve.. no one is scaring me off with irminias! I have OBTs, remember? lol The C. fasciatum is buried in my hot case right now... would she be okay at room temperature to turn into a display spider? That would be great!

I have a pair, and they are ok at room temps. My apt stays between 75 and 78 degrees, and they are doing great.

*I* try to keep the house that warm, but the other folks living here don't always cooperate! My hot case is at 80-82F most times.. I might pull her out of it then and see how she does at room temp!

Yeah, yeah.......I still think you need an S. cal. ;P

For C. fasciatum, just slightly above room temp (70-75 degrees) is perfect for them to be out on display. Mine is usually out anyways, but when the temps spike in the room (for whatever reason) he will retreat to somewhere cooler.

Paul - Rub it in ONE more time that you have 6 Rufi in a communal and I WILL come across the pond to steal them! :p

Thanks MarSea :) But you still have to post pictures of what you got! :D

I didn't think the vial of Avics would amuse everyone else as much as it amused me... but I am even more amused that yall are amused by it lol All the little ones are in their own set ups now... but it was cute while it lasted!

ETA: Thanks for the info Steve! The house is atleast 70 (though it may drop down to 68 at night sometimes).. right now, it's 75.. so it sounds like she'd do okay!
