I think it's more of a local thing, lots of snakes are killed in some other areas if they have stripes because people just assume it's a tiger snake (unfortunately there's lots of harmless snakes with stripes and there's several morphs of tiger snakes that don't have stripes). But people in my area definitely respect the wildlife which is fantasticWould you say the average person has more regard for the wildlife in Australia as opposed to other countries? Or does it seem more like a local thing (ie not universal across the country) ?
