While I know it is a part of the Salticidae, I can't figure out what kind of jumping spider it is. I found it in my bathroom on the light. It is about 1/2 an inch in length, and the underside is white with a black line in the middle. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. While I have found a handful that look close to it, they all are slightly off. It has interesting markings on its head: a black W shape or M depending on how you’re looking at it. And it has a pretty furry appearance. I can't get a clear guess from my phone. It thinks it is every kind of jumping spider and occasionally a wolf spider. I have searched all over the internet, and I feel just as lost as when I started. I was hoping someone on here might know or could direct me to any helpful resources to help me ID it! I'm including as many images showing its markings both back front underside hopefully someone has something that will help.

Interesting! Looks like a male Plexippoides flavescens, a species from the Middle East that established in the US only around Las Vegas.

Thank you so much! My eyes are twitching from all the jumping spider images I have searched through. Never once came across this, even described it to ChatGPT along with the location. There are so many species in the family of Salticidae! The minute I looked it up, the photos matched perfectly. I kept finding ones that almost resembled it, but the markings or colors were wrong either on the underside or the head. It was driving me nuts! 😆

How do you tell the males from the females? I can't find a whole lot of info on them. I can't even find any videos on YouTube about them. It is definitely a Plexippoides flavescens. The markings on the head I haven't been able to find any with those markings, like an M or W depending on how you look at it. I haven't figured out how to post videos on here. I guess mine are the wrong format or something. If you want to see the link, it is below. Thanks again for the info. I appreciate it! 😊
