need help first time trying to mate wolf spiders

Hi how do you mate garden wolf spiders i wanna know everything so i can get my male and female wolf spiders to mate[their names are lil demon and chorlette]

they have the same markings and both have a distinctive eye feature.

i can give you a run down.these spiders are dark brown and look black at first sight.they live every were in and outside.or if thats not good enough ill post a video

Look it up on google and try to get a latin name.

An example of a latin name: Pandinus imperator.

A video won't do us any good, because the level of detail is too crappy. Pictures taken with a macro camera might help. If you have managed to ignore what I've been saying all along, your spiders are probably of the genus Pardosa (most small dark wolf spiders are, and there are loads of species that look alike).

The easiest way to do this is put them together in the same jar or terrarium. If they're the same species, and ready, they will mate. The male will start things off by taking up a position in front of the female and waving it's palps and front legs in a sort of "dance" to indentify itself to her. If the female is willing she'll allow the male to approach and mate. Give them a jar or container with plenty of room. The male may need some space so she won't eat him.

If they don't mate it doesn't necessarily mean they're not the same species. It might be that one or both of tem is not yet an adult.

There are many different species of wolf spiders that look similar to one another, so general coloring, size, body patterns, etc are not necessarily reliable ways to determine the species. Individuals are usually identified at the species level by examining their sex organs under a microscope.

eye feature does not determine the sex of spiders. you must look at the pedipalps and/or size. male pedipalps are swollen. also, females are larger than males.

You just said they weren't that big! That's a pic of a big Hogna species.... The fact that they are brown doesn't make them look like the spider on the pic!
