I have the following animals that are all great eaters.

2.1.0 African bullfrogs aka Pyxie frogs
0.0.1 Tiger Salamander
1.0.0 Pacman frog

Planning on adding another Pyxie in the near future.

0.0.1 Tiger Salamander
Hey, tell me about these guys? Are they difficult? I love newts and salamanders and axolotls and the like, but it seems almost everything I look at has to be kept *cold* or it'll drop. And it's easy to slap a heat source on a tank if your house is cold, but cooling a tank *below* room temperature seems to be a much bigger pain in the butt. :(

Just cook them up, there is a lot of bug recipes on the internet, cook them up and eat the extras. Lots of protein, and you can dip them in chocolate and feed them to unsuspecting co-workers ;P

Tiger sallies are simple I keep them like a pacman with out the heat source room temp is fine for mine and my room stays at around 83* Im not sure where you live but if bass fishing is big there you can prolly get larvae cheap from a bait shop then just increase heat and let water evaporate to coax it into morphing

I also keep mines in same type of setup as my frogs, eco-earth substrate with a waterbowl. It also eat as much as my frogs do too{D Mines the local variety we find here in Minnesota so I don't think they really need another heat source, I kept it all winter without it.

BTW I tried throwing in a few small baby Dubias into my Diamondback terrapins' tank and they just love'em, two more to the list of roach eating pets{D

Can't believe I forgot to list my male Tokay gecko too:eek:

Tiger Sallies are easy

Just keep em in moist dirt or co-co bedding. Dont even need a water dish. Just keep the dirt moist. Hell I keep mine in 5 gallon buckets in the closet with airholes drilled in the top lol.

I don't have enough tarantula's to keep my roach population in check and don't want to send the extras to the gas chamber. What can i get that will eat a lot of roaches?
Don't gas'em! I have an 8" T.Blondi that Ibrought home about 2 weeks ago & have been looking to start up some roaches. Crickets are not enough for her as she eats'em like skittles. They would also be good for my big C.Crawshayi & L.Parahybana.
I am only about 2.5 hrs away from Arlington but-if you really want something new,try the DFW Lone Star Reptile Expo. Its this weekend & almost in your backyard!
Here's a link for you with the info- http://www.dfwlonestarreptileexpos.com/
