You’re bound to find a dead one eventually or one very raggedy .. to send to the experts to examine. Great photo these things look almost like tarantulas so closely related.
It's Barychelidae that really trip people up with whether or not they are T's, being the only other myg family capable of climbing smooth surfaces. They are also found around the OP as well

Probably hasn’t crossed the mind of those experts who classify spiders but some of these might be tarantulas. Especially this one .

Nah definitely different, it's hard to say what it is exactly, but when you put the 2 side by side, there's just something that is different about Barychelidae. One genus overseas was recently transferred to Theraphosidae but I disagree with it

Yeah I don’t always agree with some of the name changes either but that’s up to the arachnologist?
