My wolf spiders.

So I recently encountered an area with a strange type of wolf spider that I had never seen before. I'm 99% sure that they are wolves, (they have the signature eye setup) the only problem is that they seem to have special adaptations in the water that others don't and also markings new to me and unlike any I've seen on the internet. They skim the water, and I have a strong hunch that they prey on small fish at an adult age. (BTW, it is NOT a fishing spider, I am absolutely certain.)

But anyway, I thought it might be an interesting topic for discussion sooo, if anyone has anything to say.

Also! I have a big fat female of the spider I'm speaking of and am currently attempting to breed in with a rabid wolf.

A "wolf spider" preying on fish and acclimated to a watery habitat is going to be a Dolomedes fishing spider (Pisauridae - Nursery Web Spiders). It will not breed with a rabid wolf spider. Fishing spiders get big and do resemble wolf spiders, even the eye pattern is only slightly different. Best way to get an ID is to post a pic, maybe someone can ID it.

It's not a fishing spider, as I believe I have already mentioned... I have kept many fishing spiders and wolf spiders and it is definitely a wolf spider. I'm not looking for an ID, I already made the ID, I was more looking for discussion on the large variety of wolf spiders and the different adaptations each seem to have.

Seems a little odd to discuss 'skimming the water adaptations' of wolf spiders when you can't convince your audience exactly what species you have. People love to see pics of anything. We'd love to see your wolfie.
