When I was a kid my parents wouldn't go into pet stores with me because I would skip all the puppies, kittens, birds, etc. and head right for the tarantulas. And then the begging would begin, but it never worked.

Actually my Mother bought me my first T when I was a kid, a B. smithi he was awesome. Very easy to handle and take care of. It took 10 years for me to get back into it but now I keep buying more.
