Any advice on what type of insect? I tried roaches and crickets but they are to fast and my T doesn't seem to go for them
crickets are dumb eventually they walk right into strike range of the t and get snatched up just be sure to remove them if your t isnt hungry roaches i cant speak on my gf doesnt allow them inside :D

Thank you so much, I'll definitely try this. Would you maybe suggest horn worms? Because I think they'll work because they're slower and won't dig?
Sure, hornworms will work fine. Just be sure to space your feedings out - an adult T would only need a hornworm once a month or so, maybe even less often.

It's probably not hungry then. Tarantulas are ambush predators, and like all ambush predators they're very opportunistic. They'll eat whatever runs into them (provided they can overpower it and kill it) if and when they're hungry enough.

1 pinkie mouse a week is enough to load them with calories and fats for a loooong time. Keep offering it insects, but remove them if they remain uneaten for more than 24 hours. Don't use worms cause they'll dig and hide in the substrate. Stick to crickets, locusts, and roaches.
