I went into my room just a minute ago to feed my onery brats (my two cockatiels) and I popped over to check on my Ts and saw this :D

he must have just flipped recently because he wasn't flipped when I rolled out of bed about an hour and a half ago. I -carefully!- moved his little container to sit on the desk with me so I can watch, I've never seen the molting process in person.

I'm a little worried about humidity though, the substrate is dampp but theres only a corner of it, he's used most of his webbing in his interior designing, but I don't want to open the containter and disturb him!

Fingers crossed for him!!!

BTW I also think that "Echo" my 4" female C. shioedtei might have molted yesterday, I only got one good look before my flashlight burnt out.

How exciting!!! Wish my P. regalis would molt out in the open like that, so I'll be living vicariously through your experience, LOL. Congrats!!!

I really hope your C. shioedtei molted for you.......she's been in premolt for a minute, so I can imagine that would be quite disconcerting.

Unfortunately i missed most of the molt. We had to go pick up my sister from her friends and I'm like "well..the carapace hasn't popped yet, I got time..." WRONG. I got back and only caught the tail end of the molt. {D I'll get pics up shortly, I'm waiting for him/her (hopefully her) to flip back over.

A minute? ;)

I hope she molted too, I just wish my flashlight hadn't burned out so I can't check on her. :wall: :wall: I guess we'll see when A. I get a new flashlight or B. she shows her face. {D

Here are the pics. S/he's all done now, I haven't removed the exo yet, I don't want to disturb him/her. Right now its hard to tell but I don't think s/he gained to much size with this molt.

You're gonna be surprised how much larger your little guy/gal is once it's all stretched out. Pokies gain a lot of size when they molt as slings. Congrats on a successful one!

lol you're probably right, I hope I don't have to rehouse though, with christmas around the corner I really don't have the money to go out and buy new enclosures. {D

the ones i have that havent molted yet are about 3.5 in and as they get closer to a molt you can see the band forming under the exo and bam the ones that have molted have a nice white band. so after the 3 in mark

About that, little bugger was always apain to measure and i haven't pulled the excuvium out yet, don't want to disturb him/her and s/he's lying right next to it. Either way, I'm much more interested in when it will develope the yellow warning bands. :D

In hopes that you get to see them, right?? ;P

Congrats!!! Remember, once the sling starts, it will happen quickly. You'll see a molt soon at the rate you're going, for sure.

Indeed!!! I really hope you get to see a molt soon.

Must be uber-mean P. cambrigei molting time. Mine is about to molt as well....Didn't even stir when I picked up his container to check on him earlier. I even took the lid off, and pulled back the hide, which is almost a guaranteed Flying Psalmo reaction. It was the funniest thing doing all that bare-handed while standing up in the middle of the room, and shining a flashlight in his face. So......that one is close, if not imminent.
