what are we looking at here?

is that a bishopi going after a geometricus? the female looks like a red, but not quite? Huh?

My pics are insulting to this incredible spider!
The first pic of the male tells me that either your camera (and photoskills) and/or what your doing afterwords with the image is fairly (if not better) DEAD on. I can vouche for that ...Im staring at pretty much the same spider and I know exactly what that particular black sharpy looks likes thru that cups plastic....oh, and that fake grass stuff too. :D
The other two photos are just washed out because of the light background and probably hot light coming from above. You or your camera(auto) metered the spider (too dark) ...let in to much light. Try shooting with a darker background and do a white balance adjustment on your camera using something grey in the mid/light range.
