It is actualy the way the light is hitting the live plants, I use a blue light to simulate dawn/dusk.....the light has (2) settings. I never use any fake plants...live plants are the cornerstone of all enclosures.Looks like fake flowers maybe?
I am a horticulturist...I can keep any plant alive, except some types of rainforest speceies. ...Thanks for the complimentOops, I'm sorry. It's just that they're so perfect-looking I thought they were fake, usually when I see live plants they're kind of scraggly. In that case, those are beautiful! I wish I was your t.blondi, I'd much rather live in there than my apartment!
what is the common name...I actualy get my plants at lowes hardware...they didnt look this good when I got them....I grew them this way. Plants need (3 things humidity ventilation and not to over water them.....but the most important thing is a constant temp/humidity range...no abrupt changes. The den in the pics wich I am going to post more pics of..(there is a lot more to it than u can see) has a video camera(I want to record breeding and molting and behavoir...I want to share this with everybody. The more we know the better) red lights for viewing and a feeding tube so I dont disturb the T inside it. Your enclosure is not overkill...mine is 3 1/2 feet long 2feet wide 1 1/2 feet tall...That is one side my salmon pink is on the other side (I am seeing which species gets the largest the T.Blondi or L.parahybanaThat is probably the most beautiful T cage I've seen, rob. Where do you get your plants?
I too believe Ts are rarely given enough space. It's so sad to see a T forced out into the open in a little kritter keeper with an inch of substrate a small dish and a piece of wood. No way in hell a T is comfortable in those things. I'm about to purchase a C. sp and am in the process of aquiring all of its housing. I've been told the 18x18x24" cage I'm looking at is over kill, but I just can't shake the feeling it's not going to be tall enough.
