She is absolutely beautiful! I would love to have a girl with her coloring!!! And look at those eyes, so alert and inquisitive. Gawd, what a gorgeous girl. I wish my baby were that little and cute again!

145 lbs pit is redic, has to be some cross breeding to get it up to that size. My female is about 40 lbs and my male is about 65 lbs, both reds. From what i know about the blue's they can get prity big but maintain a really short leg height, they almost grow wider then they are tall. I wish i had the money to get a blue, but the 2 pits i have now are already a handfull lol.

Color shouldn't have anything to do with conformation, or how the dog is built. That is a product of selective breeding for such. A lot of the blue dogs nowadays are the results of cross-breeding to heavy, stocky Mastiff-type breeds, which is why so many blue "pit bulls" aren't built like APBTs at all, but more like those other breeds. Ideally, this should be a breed with a "square" profile-roughly about the same length from chest to the root of the tail as it is tall from ground to shoulder. One old "dog man" told me he liked to see the same amount of "daylight" underneath the dog as the depth of the dog's chest(brisket)from the top of the shoulder blade to the elbow joint. A short, low-slung dog definitely has little manuverability, that's for sure, especially when hog-hunting, since it can't get over the underbrush or fallen trees. My second female was a blue-and-white who had a lot of old Boudreaux in her, as well as Carver, and Boudreax actually had blue in the background of his dogs many years ago, although more recently he had really concentrated on solid black dogs. "Princess" weighed 38 pounds in condition, and could jump up on top of the refrigerator from a dead stand-still, like a cat. I'd love to see some of these blue hippo wannabes nowadays do that! Most folks today probably would not have even recognized her as a APBT, since she didn't have that huge head or massive chest that so many people associate with the breed. She was a very athletic little dog who didn't seem to comprehend the meaning of "tired", lol.

She's a lovely girl!

night4now - blue is a REALLY commonly overbred colour, you could find one easily lol

Boudreax dogs are just awesome little things! A friend of mine has a Boudreax (all the way through) girl.. she's the most gorgeous little thing!

Personally, I like my APBTs a little more on the terrier side... from what I've seen personally, it does add athleticism.
