That post was pure sarcastic jest.
The problem with the Internet, is that there's a subset of EVERY population that will read a post like that, & despite the degree of ridiculousness that'd have to hold true to make that statement factual, still choose to believe that it was posted with sincere intent.
I can assure you that this is most certainly NOT the case here, & that I am, quite proudly, THE first & premier arachno opthalmologist. Instead of utterly boring you with droves of references from my (University published) dissertation, save us both some screen space, & just trust me.... okay?
lol well played. i always assume good faith/sincerity and 9/10 times i'm dead wrong... still haven't learned

Because he was moving? Spiders are the best pets for moving.

something doesnt add up here.

enclosure too big? Feeders too big? It sounds all wrong.

and where is the ventilation?
it was a coast to coast move and he's not taking any furniture, just the bare bones of his belongings, and didn't want to deal w/ the logistics of flying them
enclosure is within the recommended size based on a couple of care sheets I've looked at, and the feeders are a good size for her to comfortably hold (like generally a ⅓ of her body size. sometimes a little smaller or a little bigger)
it's hard to see in the picture but in between all the panels there are thin slats to let in air and such

this is it - she has a hammock up top she likes to hang out in. i feed her crickets usually - I've also tried mealworms and flies, but she's refused both. + crickets are much easier to get View attachment 483509

I agree. In my ex.perience often when owners have done something wrong, they lie and obfuscate it, similar to how people lie to doctors about stuff and often end up worse off because they didnt tell the truth. There's no reason a jumper should be missing prey unless the owner messed up somewhere or the spider was injured or poisoned.
