My 9+ inch Goliath bird eater (stirmi) is starting to molt the tarantula has always been sluggish since I got it and hasn’t eaten in about 7 months and when I woke up I can see his full carapace and fangs but I’ve never had a tarantula molt without building a web and flipping over and molting but there is no web and the tarantula molting in a regular tarantula position should I be worried

Yes, you should be worried, but that’s about it. Your tarantula knows when to molt, how to molt, than any human being dead or alive.

I’ve seen my tarantulas molt upward, downward, sideways, leaned against walls, etc. When it comes to molting, which I’ve never done it myself, I fully believe in, and respect the choice my tarantulas make.

Is it a male or a female?
