My "Dictator" Scorpion.

Hello, I have a case of wtf is my scorpion. He is my first scorpion(but not exotic pet). he has acclimated well, he has been in my possession for a couple months now, he is eating regularly and doesn't seem to have any issues.I bought him from petco ( which is why I was initially skeptical), but through further research he seem's to be a dictator, he's about 5 inches long with the tail. I would like to know if he is intact a dictator. he's a little more skittish and aggressive than an emperor, but he isn't bad. He loves to take baths in his water bowl. I don't have any picture of his underside. let me know what you guys think, I am in no way a specialist.

You have a P. imperator not dictator. No retail pet store chain carry the true dictator.

I agree with @Outpost31Survivor, your scorpion seems to be a P imperator.

The left one is a imperator, the one on the right is a dictator, notice the difference in the 'notches'.
The dictator on the right also has a much granular carapace.
Your scorpion looks very healthy, enjoy it !

I agree with the above posters! It's definitely an Emperor but it's head is quite smooth, not bumpy, that'll make it an imperator. It's a beautiful specimen by the way, very healthy and chubby!
