The only bug i am terrified of are roaches, they are just creepy in my opinion. I'm not saying they aren't cool, the pictures people post of them are interesting, the thought of handling roaches sends chills up my spine. Another reason i wouldn't keep roaches is my mom would kill me, she hates them. I haven't had a problem with smell, but we will see once all these babies grow up.

I think roaches are simply disgusting specially when it comes to handling them. How ever do think they are a heck of a meal for any T  And more interesting to observe while being eaten.

Ha, ha... I had the same problem when I told my parents that I would like to keep some roaches. They said "NO WAY!". Of course I get them and told them that they are beetles  After few weeks, after my parents get used to that insects, I told the truth. Now, my mother, can spend a lot of time, watching fighting and walking roaches. Every time I clean their tank or feed them, she even handle them {D

roaches

I still think its so funny that you can keep a T and be afraid of a roach. Have your ever held a rolly polley? Holding a B. dubia is the same thing. They are less creepy than holding a mealworm. My mom was afraid of snakes until I got one then she realized they weren't bad. I too told my wife they where beetles (funny beetles don't scare people) and months later confessed. She has no problem with all my roaches now. IT IS ALL IN YOUR MIND!!!!! . Overcome your fears and new doors will open everywhere. Funny I have one customer on this site that has two seven year old girls that are less afraid of most things than almost anyone I've ever met. If you touch as see stuff at an early age its amazing what can happen. Those girls will probably be very successful in life because they will be less afraid to do things than many others.
