that's a female shelfordela tartara roach, right?
It seems impossible for this assasin to take her down...it's almost 3 times it's size.
Amazing!

BTW has anyone had success feeding to assissins pre-killed prey?

Actually, I just fed a dead female S.tartara to an adult assasin bug yesterday !!

And Steven, yes, these ARE what you think they are, they grow fast don't they??

Reduviidae are extremely successful predators. Its not rare for them to take down prey two or three times their size. I have fed some of my adult Platymeris biguttata specimens small amphibians and have observed several of my reduviid specimens of the genus Rhinocoris all simultaneously attack a single prey item.

Awesome assasins you guys!!!!
I am planning on getting me a colony going before too long.
Question: Are you guys keeping different species together?

Same question, are you keeping all 3 sp.s in the same tank?

if i'm the only "source" of platymeris for Nikos,... then he never had any mombo's,... what you think mombo's are,... are in fact hybrids
I can confirm that.
