Now that I don't remember.pandinus said:did he put them all in a tin can?
Well, I know that but because they do that they give SCORPS a bad name...........Fergrim said:the reason that emperors are used so often in movies is that, I guess... it's just good luck for movie makers that the largest scorpions in the world are scariest looking and very docile..
it's the obvious choice for a movie scorpion![]()
That or, "scorpions!, I don't know, just go to a pet shop and get some!, we have to finish this shoot!".Fergrim said:the reason that emperors are used so often in movies is that, I guess... it's just good luck for movie makers that the largest scorpions in the world are scariest looking and very docile..

Yeah, "size matters", except when it comes to scorpions.Fergrim said:I don't know.. maybeI always thought it was as I said.. just luck that the largest happen to be least aggressive and venomous
When I first saw an emperor I thought "wow, look at the size of that!", ma'am I'll take the big black scorpion, and give me some crickets....to go. Now as far as fried scorpion goes, I would use tempura and avoid beer-batter.Fergrim said:yeah, in reality.. it's silly. But I guess the general public would assume that larger means more deadly.. lucky lucky.
man... I wonder if fried scorpion would be any good.
Well, when i didn't know jack-shit about about scorpions, the size didn't matter to me it was the NEEDLE SHARP CLAWS!carpe scorpio said:When I first saw an emperor I thought "wow, look at the size of that!", ma'am I'll take the big black scorpion, and give me some crickets....to go. If I was going to eat them, I would go with emps, kinda like "African land crawdads", mmmm!.woijchik89 said:I think in some culters they eat them............to gain "spiritual bravery." or something like that.
I later refined my taste, and got Androctonus bicolor, such a beautiful scorpion. Even now, I've been keeping C. gracilis, and I just love the look of them.woijchik89 said:Well, when i didn't know jack-shit about about scorpions, the size didn't matter to me it was the NEEDLE SHARP CLAWS!
