Stu-you don't have any Avics?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Man, cmon! I thought you were dedicated with all your helpful cage reviewers...oh mannnnnnnnnnnn

I've owned minatrix- they are SUPER. IME they were all better eaters than most localities I've owned, except versi- versi are by far the best eaters out there not just for an Avic, but better than most NWs too

Avics are out if you don't give them proper places to hide. Remember in the wild, they are always hidden in daylight generally.

Plus w/minatrix they keep that nice tiger striping into adulthood!!

No Avics, and you are clearly not dedicated to the cause, no way! I don't care how many cage reviews I read from you! ;)
I knew this comment was coming! Lmbo

You should know that I add cross ventilation to all arboreal enclosures 😄
Well that is something I was not worried about.

But this Avic problem you have is a serious one.

You can’t get your secret decoder ring unless you get a couple!

Dude the color changes on the versi are cool because it’s a gradual molt after molt. Also you can vent sex Versi easily.

Not sure but even if it is it'll be nothing compared to my big female vagans lunatic. C. versicolor are the most beautiful and I might get another one. I used to have one. The C. laeta has some unique stunning colors.

I might add they are a bronze color as adults with pink feet. So the colors are stunning as it grows but the end of any blues and reds as adults. I like bronze so it's good with me

Some individuals can be as the one I have.

Just last night I dropped a good size orange head E. posticus roach in for her. She's ready to eat after her recent molt finally.

She didn't want it. I was trying to gauge best approach to remove the roach. Couldn't grab it with the tongs as she was right by the roach.

I figure I cup her so I could get the roach. As soon as I started lifting the lid she rushed me but I was able to close the lid before she could get out and on me. I put her back on the shelf and was able to remove the roach today.

Sometimes I can lift the lid and get her cupped and other times it's not going to happen. She's even more beefy now. She's 6.5 inches and a little more bulky with bigger fangs.

Before I could get her to at least go halfway in her hide to cup her. Now after this last molt she wants to rush me and it is to bite.

Thats wild. It almost makes me want one lol My P cancerides who i aptly named "Mayhem" was just like that. The more size she puts on she's beginning to mellow out. At one point I put her in a taller bin to give me some reaction time. It seemed like as soon as I put my hand on the clip she was ready for action lol

Most definitely get one. They are a stunning jet black with a rusty red abdomen.

I love mine and she is my most exciting T I ever had or currently have. All my other T's are boring. Hell I can't even get a threat pose from my P. irminia she's boring.

The best story I have about my vagans is from years ago when she turned 4 inches. Trying to rehouse her I had her cupped and set the catch cup in the new enclosure holding it with one hand. Before I could get the paint brush with my other hand she wedged herself from underneath the base of the catch cup and was pulling herself out. Her strength was unbelievable for a 4 inch T.

I couldn't press down or that would of injured her. Like a bullet leaving the barrel of a firearm she shot right out. I didn't see where she went. I grabbed a flashlight and to my relief she was in her starter burrow. Was hilarious

I'd add A. avicularia M2 (former braunshauseni) to that list for their size. BIG Avics are fun as hell.

And Psalmopoeus pulcher is criminally underrated IMO. It's a shame.

That's great. Seems like I'm passing some classics by. Avics and the notorious Vagans. I have room for 3 more I think 😆

If you only have room for three definitely make one of them a C. versicolor you will not regret it. Make sure to get a small sling so you can watch the beautiful blues as it grows.

There's no other T with the striking beauty of blue hues as the versicolor. As adults their colors are gorgeous as well.

Man now I have to get another.

I 1000% agree. One of my best webbers up in par with my GBB and OBT. Their cage once done decorating looks insane. Web and dirt explosion. So cool.

Another psalmo that doesn't get mentioned enough is the P esmeralda. They mimick a Pulcher but are the hot rod version with a darker tone. They are moody and fast. The only psalmo to give me a threat posture at 2" lol
