Hi Taki,

In Greek kentro is centre.
But this makes no sense.

I got this description from this site, i know the person behind and i'm sure he knows what he does. I will inform him about your entry. :)

Spideretymology

EDIT: I found several sites, that agree with spike. It cames from the greek kéntein that means to sting.

I've asked some of my more knowledgable Greek family to give me all the possibilities. 'Centro' or 'Kentro' undoubtedly means centre though. I'll try find out if there's a more uncommon meaning. Maybe more of an ancient Greek meaning :)

Hi again Timo.
Nice links. Obviously it must be correct, but I'm trying to figure it out. Kentri = sting, so obviously that's got something to do with it, although T's don't have those :) . I'll figure it out after more thought and research ;)

Lol @ stop discussing. Damn right metallica, it's just that being Greek, things shouldn't be 'Greek' to me :) .
Seriously though, can't wait for my M balfouri to look like yours.....

Hi,

This is a young female, I think she needs 2 molts to be adult :

Don't forget that it's an African specie...

Hi Benoît,

Thanx for your comment but I don't have any merit, this species is just gorgeous under a natural light.
