Wow. A truly magnificent spiecis! I heard with M balfouri that it is importent that the mother feed the babys herself at first before one tries to separate them. Until the second moult or something. The deathtoll would be high if one takes them too early. /Johan

Totally amazing sp. I have always loved baboons, and this sp will not make my just adds upp! Wery interesting that they are endemic to socotra island.

Timo, do you know if they have a comunal living Through out their lives in the wild, or is it just that the female lives together with the offspring for a while, say untill they are juvenile or something? /Johan

laying down some webbing and you can just see the blue forming inside her legs. the fact that she's taking her sweet time (been waiting for months) tells me it's a girl.

lambertoni is pretty nice for a 'brown' T, but i think i'll wait until its price gets a little more reasonable.
