I thought I’d make a separate thread for this but my T molted yesterday and seems to be stress curled. I’m putting photos sorry if they are bad quality. Also I noticed some black things between his toes, I’m not sure if he’s a male or not but if he is can someone tell me if those are his hooks?

Can't tell you if he's hooked out from the photos but Ts will go into all kinds of poses after moulting. They might stress curl, stretch out, do spider yoga, anything. I wouldn't worry, just make sure that he has plenty of access to fresh water.

From the photo it looks to be a typical stress pose. Avics are well known for their wonky spider yoga after a molt, so don't be surprised by very odd looking positions. If your spider starts to tuck its legs tight under it's abdomen, then I'd worry. Make sure to provide fresh water and pipette some water droplets on its web, if needed, to keep it well hydrated.

As everyone else said, nothing to worry about. Fresh out of a molt you'll see "stress poses" and a plethora of other silly positions as they stretch and acclimate to their new skin.

I can also assure you WITHOUT seeing hooks/pedipalps that your T isn't a mature male - male Avics lose the pink feet upon maturity. :)

Thank you for reassuring me everyone! I’m really seeing the whole yoga pose thing as one leg is bent wonky while the back is tucked in and the front are stretched out, spider yoga indeed :embarrassed:
