molt consuming?

I purchased a p cancerides in december and when it molts, it brings the molt up with its fangs and just walks around or sits with it. It's done the same thing with its second molt as well. Any reason behind this? I was thinking consuming the molt for nutrients or just plain getting it outta the way. Just curious

I assume it is to get get at the moisture left on the molt.

Hobo is correct, they dont consume molt, but leftover fluids that remain on old Exuvia/skin/molt
also some of mine carry out and deposit in waterdish or play with it
I say old skin for some is favorite toy, lol
