i was feeding my irmina and i noticed a little white thing craling around her i watched it walk on top of her then settle into the dirt it looked like a white flea and was fairly fast

I'll second that.
springtails can jump, mites cannot.
springtails are good, so are woodlice(pillbugs) - they are the garbagemen of your enclosures
