I just got my first 2 millipedes, a bumblebee & a desert, & I want to know if they need native plant leaf litter from where they are from or if they can have anything I have here? Oak, maple, willow? Or are those types available from where they are from, Southern U.S & Florida? Kim

Rotting hardwood leaves from anywhere should be fine as long as there's no pesticides. They also like sliced pumpkin which is available for free at this time of year.

Seconding E&A, and I'd like add that if you can get the nice pulpy wood cores from hardwood trees, they really seem to like that as well.
