Thank you so much for the advice. I added two pics just incase i'm missing something that will help him settle in. It's been almost 10 days. I know they don't move a lot but he's not drinking/eating and has not once came out from under the plant.
My Brachypelma emilia moved about an inch in the first week. Some tarantulas are just special like that I guess 😆. I don't think she ate for a month or so either.

Your little guy probably feels safe under the plant. The enclosure looks great👍.

10 days is nothing I had a t that decided to sit under a plant for 6 months before she decided to burrow. I wouldn't worry about food either I have had a t go 15 months without eating before she moulted. Its normal for t's not to eat if they are full, in premoult, or still settling. Just try to leave your friend alone make sure the water dish is full and try again in 2 weeks if your t still refuses give it another 2 weeks, if no again wait for the moult, as long as the abdomen stays plump your t should be fine 🙂.
Remember as well your t has come from a chain store that viv is probably the most space they have ever had for a long time, it may take a while to get used to the space and the quiet of your home which I imagine is extremely quiet compared to the shop floofer came from.
Time n patience that's all your little one needs, try not to worry from your pics you have everything right 😊
