Been looking for info on a common Mexican river spider. Very likely a dolomedes and is all black and large, around 2" to 2.5", resembling a D. scriptus but legs are very hairy and lighthning fast. Supposedly theyre very deadly but you know how that goes. We used to startle them and they would dive into the water with their air reserves.....

Its driving me nuts........

****Greetings to all SCABBIES

Nuthin yet

Havent been able to find anything on this one. Been searching hi 'n lo and yielded nada,,..."nada goddam thing". I guess I'll have to take a trip over there then. It'll be a heck of an expensive venture if it turns out to be a common species...oh well.

Could be a dark morph of D. tenebrosus. I mean, they can be quite dark in the first place, and I've seen dark cool-brown, dark red-brown, and dark gray in different regions.
